According to Tems, her mother  is the woman who featured in the popular Royco commercial in the 90s. She confirmed this after a Twitter user shared a clip 0f the commercial to mock the single and searching. In the user word;

“If you remember this advert on AIT and NTA, just know you deserve to be called agbaya..”
